Warehousing
Alert to the fact that warehousing will form an integral part to any 3PL or 4PL activity, the Group is now gearing itself to identifying warehouses at strategic Indian locations, to augment its Logistics services.
The Group has already taken a substantial piece of land in the vicinity of greater Mumbai, to build a state-of-the art warehouse, where the latest environment-friendly facilities have been planned. Amongst these will be a solar energy generating plant, and rainwater harvesting.
A big move ahead in the offing
At Jebel Ali, Dubai, the Group has an existing warehouse leased from JAFZA (Jebel Ali Free Zone). This is currently being used for activities such as deconsol, storage and distribution, transloading and trading.
Currently plans are afoot to double the existing warehouse space at Jebel Ali. This activity is done by Group companies, Goodrich Logistics in India and Vasco Global in Dubai,, in close co-ordination with other global offices.
