The first week of September 2015 witnessed a great stride taken by Goodrich Maritime in Kandla. We inaugurated our impressive Goodrich House, a two-storied building in the heart of Gandhidham.
With elegant yet functional interiors supported by state-of-the-art equipment, Goodrich House will be the hub for all of the company’s activities.
Appropriate space has been allocated for all our businesses: shipping agency, bulk liquid logistics, global freight forwarding, domestic unitised liquid logistics, reefer operations, etc. This edifice will be a brand-synonymous landmark for Goodrich, which is on an accelerated momentum of growth.
A traditional puja, in typical South Indian style, was conducted on September 4, invoking the gods to set the tone and path for Goodrich to take a pre-eminent position in the shipping and logistics sector in India.
On the evening of September 5, a get-together was organised for the Kandla and Mundra trade. Senior management from various segments of the trade graced the occasion, with representatives from ports and container terminals, shippers, forwarders, clearing agents and CFS operators thronging Radisson Hotel.
To us, it was a ‘Gratitude Get-together’ to pay tribute to the Kandla trade, for its unstinted support to the company over the years.
Speaking on the occasion, our Managing Directors, R. Gopal and T. Venkataraman, struck an emotional chord to start with, dwelling on their association with the trade, whose affection and infectious enthusiasm over several years remained steadfast. They profusely thanked the guests in the overflowing hall.
Quickly changing mood, the dapper Directors overviewed the screening of the Goodrich corporate film in typical Bollywood style. The highly popular, interactive film held the guests in awe, especially when the promoters laid out Goodrich’s ambitious development plans.
A musical extravaganza followed, with two renowned Mumbai-based singers holding the audience spellbound with an assortment of old and new Bollywood songs.
